The climbing of Mt. POW-MIA

In August 1999, the Alaska Historical Commission dedicated a previously unnamed  mountain in honor of America's POW's and MIA's,   Located  at 61.27N /149.12W in  Alaska's South Central Region,  Mt. POW-MIA rises to an elevation of 4,235ft msl  and  lies  directly behind (south of) the Wasilla "Veteran's Wall of Honor".

In August 2000,  Fullhouse (Then Alaska State "P"),  climbed Mt. POW-MIA.
The POW-MIA Flag (pictured) fly's year around and is maintained by Colony High School ROTC cadets.  The Cadets established a "sign in registry" inside the rock pile hidden in a carafe. The registry reads 8/16/00 "For all Brothers of the Vietnam Vets Motorcycle Club, USA".
